ArchForge is a system of record for software architecture — a single, searchable home for your architecture decision records (ADRs), reference architectures, diagrams, standards, and the knowledge graph that links them together.

This documentation covers how to use ArchForge as an architect, a contributor, and an administrator.

How the docs are organized

• Core Concepts — the building blocks: artifacts, types, links, and the review lifecycle.
• Guides — task-focused walkthroughs, starting with authoring an ADR.

A quick mental model

Everything in ArchForge is an artifact — an ADR, a reference architecture, a standard, an RFC, and so on. Artifacts have a type, move through a lifecycle (for example Draft → Proposed → Published), and can be linked to one another to form a living knowledge graph of your architecture.
