Workspace settings

The Organization page holds the settings that identify your workspace. Open it from Admin → Organization.

Change the name or tint

  1. Edit Name. This is how your workspace is labelled in the app.
  2. Under Tint color, pick a color with the swatch or type a hex value such as #ef8a43. The value must be a six-digit #RRGGBB hex color.
  3. Click Save changes. A Saved. confirmation appears.

The tint is the accent color used for buttons, highlights, and active states across your workspace, for every member.

Set an artifact prefix

Every artifact has a reference ID made of its type prefix and a number, for example ADR-0042 or STD-0007. An artifact prefix adds your organization's code to the front, so the same decision becomes ACME-ADR-0042. Prefixed IDs are easier to recognize when they're quoted in tickets, pull requests, and documents outside ArchForge.

  1. Enter a value in Artifact prefix, for example ACME. It must be 2 to 6 letters or digits; lowercase is converted to uppercase as you type. Leave it empty for no prefix.
  2. Check the example shown below the field, such as ACME-ADR-0001.
  3. Click Save changes.

What happens to existing IDs

Changing the prefix updates every existing artifact ID in the workspace, including the IDs recorded in each artifact's version history. Numbers stay the same; only the prefix changes. For example, with a new prefix of ACME:

BeforeAfter
ADR-0042ACME-ADR-0042
OLD-STD-0007ACME-STD-0007

Artifact pages use the ID in their address, so links and bookmarks that contain an old ID stop working after the change. Pick a prefix early, before IDs are widely shared, and tell your teams when you change it.
